If you want to store your camera’s images and videos securely, Camovue Cloud is the perfect solution. This guide will show you how to enable cloud uploads and configure the necessary settings.
Before proceeding, please check if Camovue cloud service is available in your country or region: Supported Models, Countries and Regions for Camovue Cloud Service.
Step 1: Check Your SIM Card Type
Camovue cloud service usage depends on the type of SIM card you are using:
- Camovue SIM Card: Purchasing a data plan will automatically enable cloud service.
- Non-Camovue SIM Card: You will need to purchase an additional cloud plan to use cloud storage: How to Subscribe a Camovue Cloud Plan.
Step 2: Install a microSD Card
A microSD card is required for cloud uploads. Images and videos are first saved to the SD card before being uploaded to the cloud. This article How to Choose a microSD Card for Camovue Camera provides the specifications for the SD card working with Camovue camera.
Step 3: Configure Motion Capture Settings
Go to Settings > Motion Capture, then:
- Enable Camera Images if you want to capture pictures. Up to 3 consecutive snapshots can be taken, with the number of captured images adjustable in the settings.
- Enable Camera Recording if you want to capture videos. The cloud recording duration is determined by the video length setting, with options of 10, 15, or 30 seconds.
- You can enable both options if you want to save both images and videos.
Step 4: Adjust PIR Detection Settings
Ensure the PIR settings are correctly configured:
- Enable PIR Detection.
- Set the PIR schedule for the desired time periods and Detection Type you want the camera to detect.
- Adjust PIR Sensitivity and Trigger Interval as needed.
Once configured, the camera will detect motion and upload the captured images or videos to the cloud.
Step 5: Enable Scheduled Snapshots (Optional)
If you want the camera to take and upload snapshots at scheduled intervals:
- Go to Settings > Scheduled Snapshots.
- Enable Photograph on Schedule.
Step 6: Find Photos and Videos in Cloud Storage
On the Device interface, tap the Gallery button at the bottom to access images and videos.
With these steps completed, your Camovue camera will successfully upload images or videos to the cloud based on motion detection or a set schedule. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please click "Submit a Request" below to contact Camovue Support.
