How to Install Camovue Solar Panel
Preparation: Battery Requirement
Before using the Camovue Solar Panel, ensure that your camera is equipped with the Camovue Lithium Battery Pack BP-10. This rechargeable battery pack is essential for enabling solar charging and ensuring uninterrupted power supply to your camera.
Step 1. Select an Optimal Location
Choose a location for your solar panel that gets the most sunlight throughout the year. The ideal Angle of mounting your Solar Panel equals to the local latitude ± 5°.
Step 2. Mount the Solar Panel Bracket
Use the provided mounting template and screws to securely install the bracket on the selected surface. Ensure it is stable and properly aligned.
Step 3. Attach the Solar Panel
Slot the solar panel into the mounted bracket and make sure it is firmly secured to prevent movement or dislodging.
Step 4. Adjust the Panel Angle
Loosen the adjustment knob on the bracket and tilt the solar panel to achieve the best angle for direct sunlight exposure. Once positioned correctly, re-tighten the knob to keep it in place.
Step 5. Connect to the Camera
Use the Type-C cable to connect the solar panel to your Camovue camera, ensuring a secure and stable connection for continuous charging.
Step 6. Check if the solar panel is recognized in the app.

Solar Panel Charging Notes
The amount of energy that the solar panel can produce is affected by weather conditions, seasonal changes, geographic locations, etc.
- The charging temperature of Camovue battery-powered cameras is 0°C-45°C (32°F-113°F). The solar panel won't charge the camera at temperatures below 0°C (32°F).
- Make sure the solar panel is not blocked. The energy harvesting efficiency drops drastically even when a small portion of the solar panel is blocked.
- Please don’t install the solar panel completely horizontally. Otherwise, your solar panel might accumulate dust and other debris easily. It’s advised to install the solar panel angularly to receive the most direct sunlight.
- Wipe the solar panel regularly to remove dust or debris.
By following the proper installation and maintenance steps, you can maximize the efficiency of the Camovue Solar Panel and keep your camera powered throughout the year. Ensure optimal placement, regular cleaning, and correct battery usage for the best performance.
