Setting up your Camovue camera to record to a microSD card allows you to store important footage directly on the device. This guide walks you through the setup process step by step.
Step 1: Install a microSD Card
To install a microSD card in your Camovue camera, follow the provided installation guide: How to Install microSD card in Camovue Talon Series Cameras. About the appropriate storage capacity or specifications for the microSD card, refer to: How to Choose a microSD Card for Camovue Camera.
Step 2: Configure Motion Capture Settings
Go to Settings > Motion Capture, then:
- Enable Camera Images if you want to capture pictures. Up to 3 consecutive snapshots can be taken, with the number of captured images adjustable in the settings.
- Enable Camera Recording if you want to capture videos. The SD card recording duration is determined by the video length setting, with options of 10, 15, or 30 seconds.
- You can enable both options if you want to save both images and videos.
Step 3: Adjust PIR Detection Settings
Ensure the PIR settings are correctly configured:
- Enable PIR Detection.
- Set the PIR schedule for the desired time periods and Detection Type you want the camera to detect.
- Adjust PIR Sensitivity and Trigger Interval as needed.
Once configured, the camera will detect motion and upload the captured images or videos to the microSD card.
Step 4: Enable Scheduled Snapshots (Optional)
If you want the camera to take and upload snapshots at scheduled intervals:
- Go to Settings > Scheduled Snapshots.
- Enable Photograph on Schedule.
Step 5: Access Photos and Videos
In the Live View section, you will find two options:
-
Photo – View captured images or scheduled snapshots.
-
Playback – Watch recorded videos.
By following these steps, your Camovue camera will successfully record footage to the microSD card. You can now review recordings anytime, ensuring reliable video storage and easy access to important moments.
