Camovue Standard Mode VS Power-saving Mode
The Camovue Talon Pro cameras offer two working modes: Standard Mode for real-time monitoring and Power-saving Mode for extended battery life in hunting scenarios.
Standard Mode
The default working mode of the camera. You can get instant access to the camera vision in real time and receive instant alarm notifications, meeting your real-time monitoring needs.
Power-Saving Mode
When enabled, the camera communicates with the server at a set sync frequency rather than staying online in real time. As a result, configurations do not take effect immediately, live view is unavailable, and power consumption is significantly reduced. The lower the sync frequency, the more power is conserved, extending battery life.
This mode is particularly useful in wildlife scenarios, where the camera captures photos and uploads them to the App. Users can then view events in the App's Gallery. With approximately 20 syncs per day, this mode can extend the camera’s operational time by up to three times.
Camovue Power-saving Mode Step-by-Step Configuration
Part 1. How to Set up Camovue Power-saving Mode
You can set the communication frequency in power-saving mode:
Step 1: Go to Camera Settings and enable Power-saving Mode.
Step 2: In Sync Frequency Settings to configure when your camera wakes up to sync information with the server.
- Sync after each alert: When the camera is triggered by an animal or other events, it will automatically wake up and capture motion detection, then send push notifications to you (if you have enabled push notification), upload the recorded video and pictures to the cloud immediately (if you have subscribed to a cloud plan). After completion, it will enter standby mode automatically.
- Scheduled Sync: The camera wakes up at fixed times to communicate with the server. You can choose to wake it up once daily, 3 times daily, 6 times daily, or 12 times daily. The camera can still be triggered by animals or other events and capture during standby mode, but it will only send push notification (if you have enabled push notification), upload the accumulated videos and pictures to the cloud at the set time (if you have subscribed to a cloud plan). The camera will be in standby mode at other times. The lower the camera communication frequency, the more it helps to extend the battery life of the camera.
When Power-Saving Mode is enabled, camera's live view is unavailable.
By adjusting the communication frequency in power-saving mode, you can optimize battery life while still capturing important events and uploading data to the cloud. For any issues or additional support, feel free to click "Submit a Request" below to reach out to Camovue Support.
