Camovue subscription cloud plans offer flexible options to meet your cloud storage and notification needs. Below, we outline the available plans and their differences.
Part 1. Camovue Cloud Plan Overview
Depending on whether the camera uses a Camovue SIM card or a different SIM card, there may be slight differences in the services included in the cloud subscription. The table below will help differentiate.
Plan Type | Included Services | Applicable Devices |
Type 1 |
Cloud storage (including videos and images) Rich notifications Animal recognition |
Camera not using a Camovue SIM card |
Type 2 |
Cloud storage (including videos and images) SIM data Rich notifications Animal recognition |
Camera using a Camovue SIM card |
Note: Type 1 and Type 2 are not the names of the cloud plans, they are used solely for differentiation and to help clarify the following explanation.
1. Plan Visibility for Purchase
When the camera is using a Camovue SIM card, only “Type 2” cloud plans will be available for purchase. Conversely, camera not using a Camovue SIM card will only see "Type 1" cloud plans.
2. Switching Between SIM Cards and Plans
1. If the camera is subscribed to a "Type 2" cloud plan and the Camovue SIM card is removed and replaced with a non-Camovue SIM card, the App will continue to show the camera as being on the "Type 2" plan. At this point, you can switch to a "Type 1" plan.
2. If the camera is subscribed to a "Type 1" cloud plan and the user removes a non-Camovue SIM card and replaces it with a Camovue SIM card, the plan will not work due to the lack of included SIM data. In this case, you will need to switch to a "Type 2" plan.
Part 2. Camovue Cloud Service Details
1. Cloud Storage (including videos and images)
Users purchase a storage plan for a specified number of days. During this period, the camera can upload motion capture images/recordings and scheduled snapshots, (upload logic follows the camera's configuration). To upload images and recordings to the cloud, the camera requires an SD card, as those images and recordings are stored on the SD card. In other words, if the camera does not have an SD card, no images or recordings will be uploaded to the cloud, even if a cloud plan is active. For images, users can request high resolution images (Note: the resolution of high-definition images vary by camera model).
2. SIM Data
Camera using a Camovue SIM card, if subscribed to a "Type 2" plan, can connect to the network using the included data allowance as long as the plan is valid and the SIM card is active. If the SIM data runs out during the valid period of the plan, user can purchase an add-on data plan for continued use. Please note that a Camovue SIM card will be deactivated if not used for 12 months, rendering it unusable after that period.
3. Rich Notifications
If the camera supports rich notifications and has an active cloud plan, it will be able to use rich notifications.
4. AI Animal Recognition
If the camera has an active cloud plan that includes AI animal recognition feature, any uploaded recording or image will be automatically analyzed to identify the type of animal. The supported animal types are based on the details of the cloud plan.
