Keeping your Camovue camera firmware up to date is essential for ensuring its optimal performance and security. Firmware updates often include important improvements, security patches, and new features that enhance your device’s functionality. In this guide, we will walk you through the process of updating the firmware of your Camovue camera, ensuring that it stays up-to-date and works efficiently.
Method 1: Auto Update via Camovue App
Step 1. Launch the Camovue App and find the corresponding camera.
Step 2. Tap the camera name to check the details about the camera.
Step 3. Scroll up on the screen and you will see the Firmware Version. Tap the firmware version and toggle the Auto Update option to green to enable this feature.
Once enabled, your camera will automatically detect new firmware updates when they become available and perform the upgrade automatically.
This method is ideal for users who prefer to have firmware updates handled automatically without needing to check for updates manually.
Method 2: Manual Update via Camovue App
Tap the Update Manually option. The camera will begin scanning for available updates. If a new version is detected, the message "A New Version is Available" will be displayed. Tap the Update button at the bottom of the screen to start the firmware upgrade process.
Important Note: Do not cut off the power during the firmware update process. Interrupting the power could cause the device to become damaged and result in malfunction.
If you receive an "Update Failed" message, try the following:
1. Switch to a different network (for example, try switching from Wi-Fi to mobile data or vice versa) and try the update again.
2. Update via another device.
